want brighter headlights !

    have a 2001 vfr with stock 45/45 bulbs. would like 55/65 or better but dont
    know if it will tax the charging system or melt the plastic lens/bezel. any
    inputs ? Thanks, philm

    I"m using sylvania silver stars, believe they are 55/65 so far so good, if theres any over draw on the system, I haven't had anything creep up yet that would tell me and it's been over a year

    I run SilverStars too. 55/65w, no additional problems except fitment.

    Cheap method: get some H4 Silverstars and bend the two lower tabs back 90'. Go ride.

    Expensive method: HID conversion kit.

    I have installed PIAA bulbs ( H4's low beams and H7's High beams ) and like the results. Pricewise these are in between the above mentioned suggestions and the install was relatively easy on my 02 VFR. To increase my visibility
    ( that is, how well I am seen ) from the front I also installed two Whalen LED lights.
