Hi, I have an 04 VFR. It aint a bad bike but it has been at the dealers now for a while while they try to find out why the coolant boils and runs out of the expansion tank. This has happened twice. Once, whilst hammering the bike in France and once whilst giving it a little thrash in the UK. Both times the ambient temp was over 30 and bike temp went to around 108 till the fan cut in. The fan could not hold the temperature and the coolant started to boil and got dumped out of the expansion tank. The dealer has pressure tested the bike twice and all is Ok. He now wants to check the head gasket but the bike was out of warantee by the time I got to him (by 3 days) and now we wait for Honda Uk to Ok for the work to be done. (The previous owner had the same fault whilst the bike was in warantee. Any one got any good ideas. I am having to ride my ZX9R which I am starting to enjoy again.
