So there I was happy as a something cruising 70-ish and coming to a stoplight on our local highway. Revs dropping.. revs dropping.. blah. Nothing. Really, less than 300 miles of travel total and poof, some facking thing.
“Alright keep cool, what does it seem like”… “hmm, outta fuel”. Tank was just filled, petcock turned to “on”, fuel gauge reads pretty full, and no leaks. Fuel pump?
When I was rebuilding an ‘86 7hundy, I had to make a fuel pump relay jumper. It worked like a charm and I described how it worked to my purchaser. I figured I will just make a spare to take on my rides, JUST IN CASE!
Well F me, I pulled it out of my under seat cubby, wrapped in mini bubble and placed in a zip lock baggy. Removed the relay and plugged in my jumper….
Choke a little bit, couple throttle turns and she catches on.. Hells yes! Saved my ass and road all the way home. Actually idles better as well when warm.

Long story longer make one for yourself before it is too late and your baby is stuck in the middle of nowhere.

    Been saying this FOR YEARS!

Better yet, install a parallel toggle. Saved my ass more than once.
