    vfr750fv wont start.
Cranks over until healthy battery dies, but just splutters and backfires occasionally.
Hasn't been run for a while.
Tried a plug, fires okay, and fuel pump works.
Was fine when last run before parking in garage.
    Think may be carbs!
    Can any-one help?

how long has it been in storage?
did you either drain the carbs or use fuel stabilizer when it was put in storage?

    Fresh fuel helps.

use jumper wire on fuel pump relay to prime carbs until clicking stops..
.... then try to start. .... use as little choke as you can to avoid flooding.

since u have sparks, if this doesn't work, you probably have clogged carbs.......you can try to clear them with Sea Foam or Yamaha carb cleaner beforer digging in and pulling them off..
you most likely could have saved yourself from this agro if you had drained the carbs, Benny Hill!

    Best of luck!

    Many thanks for your reply.
I think i'll try the carb cleaner first and see where that gets me.
