Vfr rear shock issue ?

    Could anybody tell me if the shockers are interchangeable between the 98-01 fi and the vtec
    Any help appreciated.

    I believe that the Vtec shock is shorter in length, and will result in a lower ride height. This is from other posts, not my own personal experience. I'm not sure if there is a direct fit off of another model. I'd like to know if there is, and exactly which ones.

    Apart from making up the length of the difference, you may want to determine if the length of travel is the same. If so, you should be able to bolt it right up but IMO, any shock you decide to go with should be rebuilt for your weight, riding style and the bike. Especially if buying a used shock.
