    Hello all,

Looking to get into VFRs I've had a 600RR for about a year now and was involved in a low speed crash on my way to work. Have long been debating what to do with the insurance money but I've decided to get into VFRs. I'm a longtime Honda rider, started on a rebuilt Nighthawk250 and worked my way up to a CB750 then into the CBR. I want something that's still quick but doesn't put as much weight on my hands and a VRF with proper handbar mods seems to fit the bill. I'm excited to start my journey. I have 3.7k currently available but I'm trying to sell my CBR at the moment so I hope to add to it.

    Regards,
    Robbie

Awesome! Welcome! What era are you looking at? I think coming from a CBR600 the 98-99 would be a great VFR intro. Fuel Injected but still gear driven cams. A pretty pure VFR experience. With that money you can find a really nice one and have money for some mods.

    Good luck!!

I'm looking at a 2001 in Atlanta right now with 6k miles! It looks pretty clean. I want to find something that's good to ride out the gate, I haven't been able to ride for months and have had some medical stuff crop up as well so I want to get out and ride while it's still warm enough to do so. I really enjoy riding and want to do some longer trips. Here's the only pics I've been able to get of the 01 so far.

2000 - 2001 are nice too. Just introduced a cat in the exhaust and a couple other small changes. Good luck! I think you're on the right track in those years tho.

As a 5th gen addict --- could be just the photo light, but looking at the dash fit, my radar is up, looks like it was crashed or reworked.... just a caution...
    Good luck on your search....

Thanks! That's exactly why I posted here. I've asked for more pics and a service history if available, haven't gotten any replies yet. He had it listed for 3200 and I offered 2800 and he accepted, is that a good price if all is well with the machine?

Left footpeg is bent down, BAD. Shifter looks bent too.

Run. Don't even bother with this one. Seriously.

Found these as I'm in the process of trying to sell my CBR. Glass company truck pulled out in front of me, I braked hard but ended up hitting him around 8mph( I looked down right before impact). My head hit the truck, I'll never forget the sound of my visor scraping across the concrete after it popped off my helmet. Crazy that so much happened going so slow but I'm all good and ended up getting a decent check from the insurance company. At first I wanted to keep it but discovered the VFR and want to give it a go!

For the low mileage, it should look perfect...But!!.no tail light, borked dash, probably other surprises waiting to be discovered. Its been crashed.
My advice......run away........for the bucks you have you can do better.
Look at it as a cold hearted business decision. Emotions will get you screwed...

Hey Cap. Mine are like that too. I have replaced them a couple times but they always end up bent so I just live with it. Seems once I bend it, I stop dropping the bike. Except when travelling on some rat trail in Baja.
