Does anyone know where to get the VFR rims in Gold ? I believe these came on VFR's outside of the states.

Thanks for your time. Honda_VFR800Gold Rims.jpg

Yes they are from Aussi and Europe.
Cheaper for you just to powder coat, it cost about $60 to $100 per wheel.

What 'Long said. Any decent powder coater should have just about any color you can think of. And probably a few finishes you've never seen. It's amazing what they can do now with coatings these days.

That color looks a lot like the 92 color, Summer Blonde Metallic. I always liked them.

Definitely a great color, you can still purchase the wheels new from Honda in that color but they run about $500 or something.

How much prep do the wheels require before powder coating? My wheels are in sad shape and 60-100 dollars sounds cheap. I would imagine mine would cost more to prep, I reckon.

The powder coater shop I use sand blast them before he coats them, so no prep work on my end, well other than removing the seals and bearings from the front wheel. Check with the shop you plan to use and see if they require anything more from you, they may charge a little more to remove the bearings for you. Before I got my tire changer, I took a rear wheel with the tire still on it and he removed it for an extra $10.

What OOTV said. Some type of media / sand blasting is typical in this process. If the shop caters to the motorcycle crowd chances are they're experienced with wheel prep. Bearing removal, tire dismount/ mount is part of the process & included in the price. They may knock a few bucks off if remove your bearings & rotors. As always, ask .
