So as some of you know I picked up a clean not so much used VFR.

Just a question though. The gearbox? Does it feel like there is a slack in gear changes? Hard to describe. Like when you are in 1st gear and release the clutch slightly as if you are about to pull off there is a clunk. Like it didnt engage fully and needs that extra click in the gearbox to touch the gears. this normal or must I get it checked out?

This will depend on what you are used to. My 5th gen gearbox felt pretty slack and clunky as well, as I came off a Suzuki. I found installing the FactoryPro shift kit (which replaces the shift star and detente wheel in the selector mechanism) made a noticeable improvement, and my VFR now shifts really well.
