I have a 83VF750F, I replaced the rear shock which meant the most of the rear of the bike had to be removed, upon assemble I decided to start the bike before the tank went on ( there was enough fuel in the carbs) all went good. When the bike was completely assembled she stared first shot, all lights and blinkers worked, then she stopped and would not restart. I worked out there was no fuel pumping so I had the fuel pump checked and was told it had a dead short. Purchased a new pump, still would not pump when the bike started, so I hot wired the pump with the fuel tank connected but the fuel line to carbs disconnected, pumped fuel across the floor. I then assumed it was the fuel cut off relay, purchased a second hand relay , still won't pump. I have checked all the electrical plugs I disconnected when replacing the rear shock. Is there a fuse for the fuel pump? Or can anyone offer a suggestion as to what it might be?

I have checked the fuses above the ignition, all are OK, I can't find any other fuses, except the main 30A next to the battery

FYI....................again checked all the electrical plugs, found one under the rear tail light cowl (orange in colour) that felt a bit loose, pulled it apart and pushed it back in with a bit of force.... hey presto stared the bike and it pumped fuel across the garage floor.

the fsm wiring diagram would show exactly which fuse powers the fuel pump.
