    Hi all
Can anyone shed some light on how to remove the seat latches from the frame?
I have got the frame fully stripped ready for de-rusting/repainting except for the seat latches....
Looking from inside frame gussets, they appear to have 2 x 6mm fixings each side, but on the outside there are only smooth round heads - do I have to drill them out or am I missing something here?

    Any thoughts gents?

    Cheers

They are break off bolts from the factory (to prevent easy helmet theft and seat removal security) and snap off during installation at a pretty low torque.

Get some nice fresh vice grips on the edge of what's left (from the back side) as parallel as you can and give it a lefty-loosy. They come loose pretty easy.

Thanks Cap'n, the threads look a tad rusty so I'll dose them with Pb blaster then do as you say. :)
