Last week I bought my first bike; a 1986 Interceptor 500 with new paint and 15k miles, rides and runs perfect. I read that some V4 engines have oiling issues, and different sources say that: Only the magna engines had the issues Only the larger displacement (750+) had oiling issues All engines had oiling problems The 1986 VF500f engine had redisigned heads that a) Eliminated the oiling problems and b) had smaller intake ports and different cams for more torque in exchange for fewer top end HP. Does anyone know which (if any) of these are true? Also wanted some general info on the bikes construction- I know that the frame is steel, but what are the wheels made from? What are the pistons, rods, valves, ect. made from? Thanks!
