i just bought a vf500 and was wondering what kind of parts and accessories they have for it and websites to buy from? Mainly a place for slip-ons, unless they make a full exhaust kit.

Also I researched a little on this site and is the Top End Oiling Kit really necessary, I have 15,000 miles on the bike?

And what are some recomendations for service/tune up on oil, coolant, plugs ect?

    Thanks in advance

Due to the bike's age, you'll be lucky to find anybody that has any kind of aftermarket parts for the bike. My main source for parts is eBay.

I did put a top-end oiling kit on my 500 since it is of the 1st Generation design that plagued the VF700 / VF750. Do some research and decide for yourself. I could not find anything conclusive on the 500 though. I did it for peace of mind even though I really don't believe it is necessary for this bike.

I've got quite a bit of stuff on my site that I make for the 500's. Check it out and let me know if you there is anything else you are interested in. I've done a bunch more than I show on there.

Nobody makes exhaust for the older VF's anymore. Sorry, but you are just hosed on that one.
