VF500F bar end mirrors

Well I want to put on bar end mirrors and do away w/ the awful stock mirrors. When I was thinking about it, I glanced at the stock handlebar setup and realized I don't even have any weight on there. The grip covers the whole tube and some of the end too - making it seem like bar end weights were never in place.

Do the VF500F's usually have bar end weights? Can someone take a picture of their stock bar end for me?

My 85 vf500f has the weights in the bar. I have seen some people mount the mirrors to the body, like this one.

Thats my next step.

 

That bike is definitely gorgeous.

I still prefer bar ends to body mirrors though. I'll have to see peel back my grip end a little bit and see if there's a hole in there.

 

I was looking to do the same thing (on the fairing). There are some on ebay with integrated flashers, so I can get rid of the front flasher stalks too. ebay item 360187348716, not sure if I like the carbon-fiberish look though...

with the vf500 the stock bars a pretty long you could cut them down a fit a set of bar ends on from the picture thats what it looks like that guy did i dont know of any other clip ons theat would fit the 500's
