Hey Viff, I tried the petcock instructions u gave me and it works good. The fuel pump is questionable tho. How do I test it?
    Thanx,
    D

    Hey D,

If you only want to contact Viff, you might want to send him a PM (private message) as this will ensure that he gets your message, otherwise, it might get buried. There are several ways to do this, but one is to click on Viff's name in a thread, and choose "send private message to Viff" or you can do to your "my settings" tab on the upper left of your screen on the toolbar and select "send message" under private messaging.

    Just an FYI.

    Gravity fed fuel delivery

I know he probably won't see this post but thank you Jamie Daugherty and others for the old posting on gravity feed anyway.

I had gas issues earlier this week and turned out to be a bad pump.

I bypassed the pump and hooked it up for gravity feed on my 85 VF500. It ran well, without it. I still need more experience with this setup to decide if this is the final configuration or plan on getting a replacement pump.

Makes you wonder why u need one if this works good.

Does anyone know of any issues that could arise by doing this. Does turning the petcock off affect anything? What will happen if I have to switch to reserve eventually?

If it was designed with a pump, there was certainly was a reason.

    Thanx,
    D
