I realize the hot setup is to swap for a F2 or F3 front end but I'm wonderin' what y'all have done to the OE forks and how it turned out. What weight springs did you go with, oil weight, etc.
RaceTech suggests between .80 and .85kg/mm for my weight, 180lbs. I kinda like how soft and comfy the OE .610kg/mm is but it can get a bit too bouncy. I've got .90 in a Suzuki TL1000S and it may be too light. Most modern sportbikes come with either .90 or .95 these days.

Anybody install Gold Valves? I've had these make a nice difference on some bikes. Requires disabling of the TRAC which doesn't bother me, not sure it works anyway.

I'd consider a complete front end swap but my '84 is in great shape and to do so would border on irresponsibility. Internals don't really count.
