I was looking at possibilities for the VF1000R. They are very long front forks. I just went and measured mine and they were about 33" = 838mm. Ohlins universal are 800mm = 31.5". Would that be too short?

This is just food for thought.

Anyone with personal experience with converting these forks to anything other than stock please chime in.

How long are the RC51 forks?

Please don't respond with comments about the pricing because that isn't productive to the conversation. Thanks in advance.

An inch and a half sounds doable but you would most likely need to bail on the clip on's and go with a bar set mounted to the triple. That would be the easiest way to over come the length I think.
