    Hi!

I am about to the valve clearance check on my VFR 800 -98.
It's the second inspection ,48000 km, but the first one for me on this bike.

Does any of you have any tips och tricks regarding the check?
I downloaded the Honda service handbook and found some great instructions there.
Whats the estimated work time to do the check?

I have heard all kind of histories about VFR´s running many many miles without the need of valve clearance adjustment.
What do you experienced VFR owners say? How often have you adjusted your valves?

    Best regards

I have not done it myself, but the previous owner of my '98 did it right before I bought it with 35000 miles. he said they needed no adjustment. I didn't ask how long it took, though. Sorry.

    Gurra,
I checked the valves on my 2000 about a month ago, with mileage at 17K. The hardest part for me was reattaching all the vent hoses on the airbox. Honda isn't very generous with the tubing. Just make sure you have all the correct tools (torque wrenches, etc.) and take your time.
