My '95s "blinker" is stiff (both directions and when canceling)

Any maintenance I can do besides shooting some lube in there?

Probably time for a blinker fluid change.

Sorry, couldn't resist that. lol. Nothing I can add but your suggestion of shooting some cleaner/lube in there or disassembling and cleaning.

Go to Wallyworld and get you a can of CRC electrical contact cleaner for $4-5. Works great for the price, safe for most plastics and they sell it everywhere, but have found Wallyworld is the cheapest. Think it might be better fix to disassemble, clean and add some new grease in there but sure cleaning with the spray will help. I need to do this to mine as well.

I would try to find out just what it is that is making it stiff. Is it the metal on metal contact or are the plastic pieces binding? As far as lubing this goes, regardless of what is causing the stiffness, I would shy away from anything that would attract dust and dirt. It is simply amazing how many uses for lubricating a pencil has and how effective it is. If you take that switch apart, be careful though. I haven't done this myself but have been warned by others that there are check balls and springs in some of the handlebar switch components that tend to find the darkest corner of your garage.

BTW. High beam fluid is the exact same thing as blinkler fluid and it is sold one hell of a lot cheaper.

Thanks for the heads up; the service manual doesn't really show a lot of detail for this part.
