Alright guys, when i took my bike apart, everthing worked correctly but now that shes almost back together, im having a problem with the left rear turn signal. The other 3 signals work fine, but when i plug in the 2 wires for the left rear, the dummy light for the left turn signal comes on and stays on on the gauge cluster, but the signal won't blink. With the left front signal plugged in, both signals and the dummy light will come on and stay on as soon as the ignition is turned on, but neither will flash. When only the left front signal is plugged in, it will flash but quickly, like it would to warn you one of the signals is burnt out. I've tried plugging the wires in the opposite way and i've still got nothing. Could i have a burnt out fuse? If anyone could shed some light (no pun intended) on the situation it would be much appreciated. (i read the thread about the guy with the 87 whos signals only turn on sometimes and my switch works fine, its got to be a wiring issue, but i have no idea where or what)
Not a fuse issue. Start with the wiring diagram and verify you don't have any wires crossed up. Then use a multimeter to test the voltage of the wires with bike on and then with the turn signal engaged. Front - 3 wires: ON, FLASH, GROUND Rear - 2 wires; FLASH, GROUND
