The answer to that question is in a book by Julian Ryder called Honda's "V-Force" and the answer is on page 8. The Honda Super Cub and its derivatives have sold over 35 million units.

Is that one of those little bikes that you see several people piled on overseas putting along?

I lived in Asia for a few years in the early 70's. Unbelievable the things I've seen piled on, and strapped to Honda Supercubs.

My friend had one and didnt want to sell it to me.

Looks pretty ghetto...but they last forever and ever....

They call it a papakia or something of that sort in greece.

Must have been Honda's bread and butter in the early days.

Believe it or not but that is when I got my first job as a Honda dealer mechanic.
The thing HONDA was trying to do was change the image of motorcyclists so more people would ride motorcycles.
The Honda 50 was oriented towards students. The slogan was.... "You meet the nicest people on a Honda."
