O.K., here's an esoteric one. I'm planning a trip into Eastern Canada in the area North of Montreal or North and east to the Gaspe penninsula. Anyone out there with riding experience in those areas re: road conditions, service availablility, camping, reasonable distance per day, etc. I've found a few web sites through Google but nothing is just what I'm looking for. Thanks, Jeff

I have toured around the Gaspe (1998) and it's a beautiful ride,
tho' I (we) approached from the south via New Brunswick, then up through Dalhousie, ferried across to the southern side of the Gaspe and then rode around the perimeter. Perce is a nice
somewhat touristy town, the northen side is more remote than the southern side, there are plenty of service stops, and campsites along the way. Road conditions vary, but are generally good.
Go to Borders, Barnes and Nobles etc and check out good road maps and/or pick up maps local area maps once you get into Canada. They're big on good maps up there!
A day's ride is what you want to ride, or stop and see/photo, etc.
We took 3 days to go aorund the peninsula avg. ~220+ miles/day.
Let me know if you'd like more info.
