I left Portland early Saturday morning and rode through the gorge on WA-14. I only stopped at Bonneville, to take a picture of the water rushing through the spillway. Other than that, 14 is too much fun to stop and snap pictures.

I turned south on 197 at The Dalles and rode to Maupin, taking a little break at White River Falls state park.

    The above-mentioned falls.

    More of the state park.

It was hot, so I headed back to Govy on 216 (there are still a few heaps of dirty snow at Govy in the shade) and then to Portland along Barlow Trail / East Marmot road. Fun little ride, but super hot once I got back into Portland.
