    Hi everyone,

I just bought a 2000 vfr 800, and it needs tires, I'll ride more on the sport side then touring, but would like something that will last

Tires are good. I like them. I use them often. Prepare for lots of opinions.

I would like to be the first. Considering that you state more on the sport side , I have to take your word for it and offer up the Breidgstone BT-016 or BT-016 pro. I very much ride sport and commute . My suspension is set for me and by big fat ass. I get 5k ish +- 10% per set. I have over 25k on my 6th gen.
I either run the BT my fav or the Micheln PP2CT 2nd fav for the sportier side of the bike.

Now if you want the sportier side of sport tour thats a bit different and then I'd say Bridgestone BT023. It is a sportier sport tour tire.

    Good luck with your choice.

lol yeah you're gonna get a TON of different opinions - including mine lol

I've always had excellent luck from the Pilot Road 2 CTs....Michelin Motorcycle Tires

I average about 7-8k out of the rear. I tell ya I ride with some guys that are really REALLY fast; and several of them use the Road 2's. Around my area (CLT, NC) they are very popular.

Q2's are also excellent, but IMO they are much more sport than touring so you're looking at 3-4k from a rear if you're lucky.

Q2's are sporty enough for a track day, and they will wear quickly. Pilot road 2 and the PR3s are still sporty but longer lasting for the street.

I think someone on here using the redesigned Q2s claimed they were getting something like 7-8k out of the rear. Perhaps they'll pipe in again...

You can't go wrong, there are so many good quality tires.

I use either PP2 or PP2 CTs (Michelin). I am lucky to get 5K out of a set of tires. I change both as a pair even if there is a a few thou left on the front. I still see P2CT on line but I think they have been replaced by the PP3.
