I am currently putting my viffer back together after my recent accident. My buddies all have customized bikes in their own personal style. I was wanting to do some stuff while winter is approaching and making it a project. I need to know if it is possible and how hard it would be. I want to put a 2011 KTM RC8 subframe and tail end fairing and lights on the back of my 02. I havent been able to find anything here on the forums about subframe swaps but would like to know if anyone has gone through the work and maybe give me some insight. Thanks and have a good day.

Might you have the front end of the KTM in good shape? I know some harleydoods that might want to use it on their Harleys.

There are several subframe swap threads here.

The 6gen VFR is the easiest of the VFRs to customize the rear end because there is so little electrical back there compared to earlier years.

Link in my sig has photos of a subframe swap using a 6gen sub on a 5th gen main. Should give you some ideas of what's involved. Keep us posted and take lots of pics!
