I'm currently using them and they are fine. the thing i like is that you don't have elements running through the grip, which makes the grip much larger in diameter. they also allow the use of any aftermarket grip. slick setup, work acceptably, and aren't pricey. i cliffed my honda heated grip set for those two reasons alone.

I've been running these for a year or so. Definitely nice to have. No problems so far. I put stock Honda grips over them and mounted the round rocker switch on the left side of the gauge housing, below the trip knob (4th gen). I recommend wiring them through a relay and fuse (mine is switched by the taillight) to avoid draining your battery if you forget to turn them off.

Just installed them on mine. Work just fine, and get pretty damn hot even on low setting after 8-10 minutes.

    Thanks Chaps!

Looks like the way to go plus I might be able to do something with the exchange rate which will make it even better :)

I've been using similar type elements out of late 90's Ski-Doo snowmobile on my ST for years now. My only complaint is the right side gets warmer than the left because the plastic throttle slide apparently doesn't absorb heat like the straight metal contact on the left side. I've toyed with the concept of adding a small resistor on the throttle side wiring to equal things out...or try the old trick of filling the hollow left bar with that foamy type spray insulation to make IT warmer.
