I recently had a tipover on the left side in the driveway. The left handlebar/bar end now touches the left side of the tank. Prior to this it stopped about an inch away. The right side is fine as it stops about an inch away from the right side of the tank. Is there some adjustment I can make or reset so that the left handlebar doesn't touch the tank & it goes back to how it was prior? Or do I need to take it to the dealer? It doesn't appear that the handlebar is bent. Anyone ever have this happen to them? Any advise is very much appreciated. Thanks
Not sure if the mounts are the same for yours as they are for mine, but I would think you could loosen the bolt that clamps the bar to the top pf the forks and rotate the bar toward the fairing until you have it where you want it. Just be sure both bars are at the same positoin or you may feel that the steering is off.
Figured it out. The adjustment was out - must have got tweaked on impact. It was hard to sight it at first but when I loosened the bar clamp and re-adjusted the genmar riser, and re-tightened, it is just as it was. About one inch clearance from the side of the tank. Thanks for the advice...
