I am replacing the start switch and I got one from A VF1100 and it seems much better design, It is a spring loaded slide in and out style instead of the rocker style. I looked at the old switch and realize that the black/red and blu/w wire could just go to a heavy duty handlebar on/off switch to turn the headlights on. Keep the two functions separate. So you could just have two custom handlebar switches and skip that entire complex HONDA switch. About $30.00
