I dont know if this is the proper arena but the cause is certainly worthwile. My frieinds 1 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with retinblastoma which is a type of cancer of the eye. She lost her right eye and was fitted with a prostetic eye. The treatment is ongoing and has been handled with great skill, care and love by the doctors at Childrens Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Il. Some of us are going to get our head shaved in a St. Baldricks fundraiser. This is an excellent orginization that raises money for cancer, specifically childrens cancer. The event is May 23, 2009 at the Neighborhood Inn in Hoffman Estates, Ill. You can go to their website at St. Baldricks.org and follow the site to this event. I am registered under Mike Collins AKA Blackcloud which is my VFR world name. Any help would be appreciated and the money goes directly to the charity, anyone local feel free to stop by and participate or simply have a drink and some good food. Thanks in advance!!

Once again members of this fine site step up to the plate. Cancer is indeed a terrible ailment and needs our fullest support. If you cannot help out here, you can always support your local Cancer Agency. Many cancers are treated with Bone Marrow transplants. The ideal donor is a sibling. But that is not always an available option. Chances of an unrelated bone marrow match are as poor as 1 in 750,000. The Unrelated Bone marrow Donor Registry is a world wide registry. Please register. Contrary to what is often said, to donate is simple and the discomfort is minor for sure. I know from experience. And i have never felt more honored than to do this.

My nephew in Victorville Ca. was the beneficiary of several from here who took part in a charity ride recently. Thank you again the Shaynej for organizing that one.

Mike. You are a gentleman. Please PM me an address I can send a donation. BTW you do have hair to shave don't you?
