Just wanted to update as I'm thrilled with the response I've gotten on this thread :D Finally got a chance to put some miles on the bike as modified. Though I don't think they were too happy about it, got the dealership to install it, wound up going 3 teeth up in the rear and still used the old front/chain. They had to add 3 links, price was $49 installed (minus the sprocket). Plenty of wear left on the old chain and front gear, so I'm not too worried about the $$ I blew on the +3 tooth vortex :) The bike is much faster, more power everywhere. I find myself being more careful with the throttle and finding fewer opportunities to floor it. This is what I was looking for and I'm very pleased. Biggest drawback for me would be that the speedo is now off by 2 - 6 or so mph. It adds a PITA estimation to those "am I legal/how illegal am I" speedo checks. still very worth it though.
    Thanks
