I didn't want to jack the post on Riding Positions - mainly cause my question was a bit more precise in nature and not related to the size/height issue.

I'm putting about 530 miles/week on my Gen II 750, and I've been trying out different styles of riding to get a feel for the bike and how she handles. I've done the 'ride the tank' thing with my crotch snug against and back pretty much 90 degrees, and I've done the ass to the pad thing with my back about 60 degrees. Each gives totally different response definitions with the handling of the bike and has it's useful purpose in a given situation. I've also attempted several variations inbetween those two, and here's the reason why....

After riding about 30 mins or so, my wrists begin to get sore and usually by the time I get home from my 45 minute trek to and from school my fingers are numb at times. I'm planning some big rides in the coming months, and I'm curious for those of you who have ventured beyond the 300 mile mark... what riding positions do you find most comfortable for the longer rides???

I used to be able to ride my Rebel for like 350-450 miles at a stretch and be fine (although my ass was quite sore by the time I got back). This is flip opposite on the VFR, my bottoms fine but my wrists don't like it one bit.

    Suggestions???
