We want to take the stock exhaust and cut it down in half, is there any long term damage that could occur to the engine?? Iwould it require re-jetting? The bike is currently at my brothers with no muffler (about 30 minutes away)... due to incliment weather coming I'd like to get it back in my garage today to do some other work. Is there any serious chance of damage on a 39minute ride without an exhaust?

    Thanks

I think the only damage would be to your hearing. As far as jetting, do your mod and see how it turns out.
