A few pics from yesterdays ride. I left Washington DC, heading west on 66 out to Front Royal, Virginia. From there, it was a quick turn south on 340 to find the North gate of Skyline Drive. I ran the entire length, 105 miles, and enjoyed great views, too many deer to count, two black bear cubs, and one out-of-nowhere rainstorm. I ran 29 North, headed back to DC, and slaughtered 1,273 bugs with my helmet (included photo is from the second time I pulled over to clean my shield).

Excellent pics Shawn, er Shaun

I spent the day assembling my new cup holder (it has cup holders on the sides) after pulling kids behind the boat. Thanks for killing those nasty bugs!

Looks like a great ride. I was out yesterday, did my fair share of bug killing and deer spotting and one turtle.

Sweet pictures Shaun! Thanks for sharing! She what I mean about riding with a clean shield? I know it is hard with lots of bugs out, but every stop is a time to clean for me.

What's the fee these days? The last time I was on the Skyline, I think it was $15 for a vehicle with a trailer. The deer in the park are absolutely not afraid of people. They will literally eat out of your hand.

    KC-10 FE out...

It was ten dollars for a bike, and 30 for a years pass. The day pass is good for a full week, and can be credited against a years pass within that time. The bears were a little skittish, but the deer were just like puppies.

I might do this ride on Sunday.
Any suggestions on a place to have lunch and clean the visor?
