So I said I would post it up when I brought her home. I am guilty of being a sneaky bastage........bought this 3 weeks ago but left it at work, where I bought it, 'til the timing felt right to let the wifey in on it. Drove it home a couple of days ago right before the storms headed in. Spent the day going over her head to toe inspecting, cleaning, install block-off plates, chuckage of the evap, and smashing a couple of knuckles. Still raining here today so hope to get out tomorrow to enjoy it a little. I have always wanted a VFR but convinced myself that the motorcycle days were behind me. I should've known that going back to work for a dealership, it was only a matter of time.

    I am a happy camper!

I always kinda had an internal laugh at doodes/doodettes that worked at bike dealerships that did'nt own an actual motorcycle. Welcome to the insanity, good posting up a picture as some will bitch and moan about that. Hope you catch a break on that chitty weather. :vtr2:

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but she thinks I'm gonna be riding everywhere on one wheel and acting a fool. This is far from the truth. My motocross days are done and gone. I do try to refrain from taking a peak in the garage every hour to get a glimpse....................like a child on Christmas morning.

LOL.......I told her the night before that we now owned a motorcycle, and that I needed a ride to work the next day.

The black has a ton of metallic in it. It's almost charcoal in the sun. An '06 with 5060 miles, it could've been any color and I'd still have snagged it.

I did something similar (buying a bike without spousal approval). In my case I had my eye on a VTR1000F Superhawk on our local auction site that was well underpriced, made a bid which I was sure would be passed, and ended up winning the bike. Oops! As VFR owner I had no intention of selling that, so now owned two bikes, to be fair neither cost very much. To compound the stress, I was having hand surgery that would stop me riding for a couple of months in a couple of days and so needed to collect the bike the next day, and it was in a city 3 hours drive away. My lovely wife took all this without a grimace, gave up her day to drive for 6 hours, and has been remarkably supportive. Yes, I do realise how lucky I am!

Well done with YOUR sneaky purchase, HK SBR!

Thanks Cad. Had me a VTR as well back in the day. In fact, 15 years ago when I worked for this same dealership I bought one in the crate as a left over. VTR - VFR kind of go hand in hand.
