Hi guys I have a question regarding service intervals for a VFR400 NC30. The dealer told me it was every 10 000km... And while we are on the subject. What are the typical service intervals for 600CC bikes,, such as: 1.Suzuki GSX-R 600 2.Yamaha R6 600 3.Honda CBR 600 4. Kawasaki ZX-6R 600 Im asking cuz I drive alot (2000km per month) and this is a big consideration for me when I decide to get a bigger bike... Any feedback appreciated... Cheers
I ride quite a bit myself and my service intervals are usually 4-5000 miles. Occasionally I might change the oil a little sooner if I've been riding really hard and it looks dirty or something, but usually 4-5000 seems ok to me. I ride an 800, but I would do about the same for any displacement.
I'm with Reg. Service intervals are solid guidelines for your bike, but harder riding= more service. If you flip to a synthetic oil around 6K mi. or so, you can go 5k to 7k between oil changes.
