    Hello,

I have a Corbin seat on my VFR which came with the bike when I bought it. I believe they are made with leather. Should I be treating the seat so it lasts longer and if so what is the recommended practice?

You can use any leather cleaner and condition like the one for your car or furniture. Try not to shine them this will cause you slide of the seat

Are you sure the seat is leather and not some type of composite ? I couldn't find anything that would tell me. Owner's manual tells you how to take care of the paint but nothing about the seat. I would think that since the seat is exposed to water when washing or rain that it would be synthetic...but don't take my word for it.
If it is vinyl, I think the best thing for it is Vinylex. Unlike armor-all, it is not shiny or oily so you will not be sliding on your seat.

Yes, I believe that the Corbin seats are made of real leather. I had a friend who used to have a 94 VFR with a Corbin seat and he always used to use the same leather conditioner that came with his furniture when he bought it. Check with your local auto parts store and I'm sure you would be able to find numerous products that can be used to treat and condition leather surfaces.
