Got a beat on a 1984 1100 Sabre scrap bike (no title so no I can't just ride it as it sits). I was wondering if a swap has be done from a Gen1 VF700F. Possibly whole rear end swap nessesary or is the main chain the same and I can use the block and head or some way to get 1100ccs of power on my chasis?

Ultimatly, I will find out in 12 hours when I look at the beast. Or in two or three weeks of taking both my parts motor and the newly aquired 1100 motor completly apart. (learning time!!!)

I would say NO. Sabre is shaft drive and uses a 90 degree pinion to mate to the engine in the trans case. VF is obviously chain drive.

Sabre 1100 engine is also chain driven cams and MAY have cam problems from poor cam metal and have pitting or worst.

The Sabre was a great runner, if cams are OK or replaced. Can you get a "Lost" title or a new one?

Well I was thinking about taking and gutting the transmission and hoping the main chain would be the same. OR taking the rear end and using the whole back of the sabre on my VF700F. BUT None of these ideas will work cause the heads (and more over the block) are angled differently. I never even went to look at the parts bike in question and desided it was a dream crushed before begining.

HOWEVER this idea has spured me into doing more reaserch on the idea of adding more displacement (stroke volume to be presice) and I am gonna spring on getting a V65 crank and seeing if it would mate. If the V65 crank will mate (and not mess up the cylinders) it would make for an extra 10mms of stroke volume!!! Effectivly giving me a V51 lol.

Like I said... ITS LEARNING TIME :D

    Weeeee here we go!

    Supercharger & High-performance parts for Honda V65

And you can't say this isn't the SEXYIEST thing you ever did see for a VF! I have the same carbs on my CB (cept 22mm and obiously inline four) Also, for all the nay sayers I have tried Mic VM carbs and there are just too many options. AND accelerator pumps... need I say more VROOOOOOOM.

I don't think I am gonna go as far as the super charger.

But the BB kit for the V45 motor looks tempting though dated. In coonjunktion with the V65 crank (if all goes right) I'll be making a 1000cc motor out of a 700cc motor... Might as well source a VF1000 motor and make fit, but where is the fun in that?!?!

I guess I will make this a "build" thread. ;D
