Well its time to let go. I've had my bike for a year now and it was my first street bike. Saved it from a tow yard not running for $250 fixed it up replaced the plastics exhaust upgraded the shock and the list goes on. Well yesterday on the freeway tragedy took place. Lost power oil light came on. Coasted of freeway took her home. No oil on the dip stick funny cuz it was there 2 days ago. Still runs but only on 3 an when you start it it spits oil out the tail pipe. Drained oil metal in oil. took of air box metal in carb. Took out spark plug to find this.

    demolished spark plug.. and this
    [IMG]

large amounts of oil out the tail pipe. Leads me to piston explosion. So looking like it was running lean on that cylinder and it detonation and killed the piston which killed the spark plug and now is leaking all the oil out the tail pipe. And the idle screams. So beings that a top end gasket kit alone is too much for me to spend its just not worth fixing. So its time to let go. Shes for sail as a parts bike if anyone is interested

Another one bites the dust. Maybe you can part it out and at least salvage some of it.

I'd be very interested in the bike as a whole if you're not too far away or we can arrange shipping. I'm in dire need of a petcock and could definitely use the plastics and windscreen.

That is if TOE doesn't call dibs...

I just googled motorcycle shipping and checked a few different sites and they all quote from $5-700. Most being around 600. Not sure its worth the shipping for a parts bike...

I could still really use the petcock though if you decide to part it out.

Their estimate is on par with most of the others: $652.

If you do decide to part it out I'm interested in the exhaust, F3 shock, and upper fairing

What condition is the front wheel in? I'm also interested in the rotors (both front and rear) if they have some life left in them.
