Got home yesterday and my neighbor who has a RD 350 and a 400 was going on a ride with a friend. I said hi and bye to my girlfriend and went on a ring ding ride with them. Not often you hear 3 bikes making old school music these days. All with antique tags. A few small 1st gear wheelies happened by..... accident.

The 400 with Spec 2 chambers is a beast. The other 2 350's are basically stock except for the crap DG chambers on mine.

Here is a funny sound clip from a friend that use to have the RC51 site.

Yeah I think a lot of us started our 2 wheel addiction on smokers. Kids these days don't even know what they are. I had the RD at work a few months ago and one of the young guys came over and asked why it sounded so "funny". I could not help laughing.

Man those Gamma's were fast back in the day. I did a looong death ride with a bunch of gammas and me on my 900F. I would NOT let them go. Almost died so many times that day keeping up on my big overweight tub. I decided later I was done riding like that, didnt want to die at 130mph, sold the 900F and got a BMW R60.
I had to ride WAY beyond my skill and bikes ability to hang with those guys. Never met them before or after that day. Whatever it is that makes me do that is hopefully gone. But geez, get with a bunch of fast guys and shit happens.
There is always faster guys then me and it seems to annoy me!

Better a Gamma than one of the famous Kawi 500 triples. Should have called them "Kawikazies" .

I had a Kawi triple for about 1 month, the 750 H2. Sick engine and with the chambers on it the sound was intoxicating. But the bike could not stop and handled like crap. Scared myself a bunch of times and sold it to a friend and bought a Z900.
My friend blew up the H2 a few weeks later, rebuilt it and then promptly wrecked it. I still know a guy from high school a few grades ahead of me that has many H2's and held several go kart records with H2 engines in them.

The smell, the sound of those chambers was intoxicating. Oh ya and my long hair blowing in the wind with my bandana head band...cool man.

Our first roadrace was was a Kawa 500 triple. Really had to bend the exhaust way up for left handers.

We used to ride down to the flats in Cleveland on Thurdays night for street bike races outside the Harbor Inn. One street would be blocked off along side the inn when a couple of bikes would run. One night two new Kaw 900's came down and beat everybody that wanted to race. After the last race they were standing around all proud, when you hear this mean ringa ding ding come around the corner.
It was a new Kaw 750 triple with Denco's and a 30 day tag. He challenged the fastest 900 Kaw. He beat him by two bike lengths. Then he came back around looking for any more takers. No one spoke up so he just turned and left. He was the fastest gun in town that night.
