Sidi Vertigo Corsa Air boot update

I promised an update on these boots after my vacation. Just got back from 5,000 miles in two weeks. Upper 90s temperature in Alabama and Tennessee. Lots of walking at Honda Hoot and other stops.

The Sidi Vertigo Corsa Air boots are everything I hoped they would be. Most important for me, the perforations flow enough air to be comfortable regardless of temperature. They are also all-day comfortable for walking around. The trick adjustments for calf and instep make the fit perfect. And of course there is the security of a real race boot.

Light rain was no problem; nothing came through the perforations. I put on Treds overboots when it started to pour. I think I'd do the same if I got into really cold weather. So, for me at least, I've finally found one boot that I can wear all the time.

I got mine from Washington Cycle Works. Outstanding customer service. Ask for Ron. He's a Sidi expert. http://www.washingtoncycleworks.com/sidi.html

I have heard many good things about the Sidi's.....A lot of your question depends on what type of boot you want. Are you looking for a race boot or more of a cruising boot. I have both. They are both Gaerne's. My G_RS "race" boots are the best. I don't do track days they are my everyday riding boot. They are very comfortable both for walking in and riding. If it is pure "looks" I am going for when not on the bike I wear the "movie road" boots. They are a full grain leather boot with cordura inserts and are lined with a "drytech" membrate so they are 100% waterproof. They have great traction and look good with jeans. Just my 2 cents.

    Boots

I got a pair of Sidi Corsas and love them, I got them thinking that if I ate pavement, I wouldn't ruin my ankles because I was cheap and bought sub-standard protective gear; and I still believe that completely. Also I was lucky enought to NOT pay retail, because damn they are pricey!. They are quite comfy for 3-4 hours, after that I prefer something with a little more rubber on the sole, at that long I'm not riding hard.
