Can incorrect air/fuel mixture cause my revving to not back off after releasing the throttle. I can see the throttle assembly going back to the idle postion but the motor takes atleast 5 seconds to return to idle. anyone had this problem?

sounds like a vacuum leak, try to spray carb cleaner around the carbs, if the RPM's drop or bike dies that is what it is.

It could be either what 02 said or what you first suggested anarchy; have you altered your carb adjustments? Check a work manuel for the proper air/idle adjustment.

Does your bike--you neglected to state which year and model--start noticeably easier hot or cold ??

Do I have a GEN 1? Sorry took awhile to answer but it seems i dont always get a email when u guys reply to my post. Heres a update tho. got the throttle grip to snap back the way i always wanted it to by doing what you said. pulling the grip off and just lubing everything i could.

Only problem now with the bike is how it delays, it delays when i give it gas and it delays when i let off!!!!! im talkin like takes a couple seconds to react when i give it gas. and same when i let off.
