Reciprocator Problems??

Hello....I'm new to VFR World, and I was wondering if the fifth gen (2000) VFR has nagging problems with the stock reciprocator. I had the bike die on me after a short commute. Arrived at the stop sign, pulled the clutch, dash lights went dim, and engine sputtered and stoped......dead. After that, bike would not turn over......alternator?? Reciprocator??:crazy:

Does anybody have any ideas??

can't help ya bud, but just FYI it's Regulator/Rectifier.

 

I think he means bike, my VF500F gave me some good vibrations. :thumbsup::crazy:

 

Sounds like the dreaded R/R. As Mr. Frost said, it's regulator/rectifier.
If you search by it's proper name you will find many-a-thread with help on replacement, troubleshooting, electrical upgrades, etc.
Come up short on a search and you'll find plenty of help here. Just say the word.
