rear caliper ???

    Just replaced the brake pads seems a bit tight. cleaned the caliper, used brake lube on the moving parts. the rear wheel just does not move as freely as it did before I did the brake job. also bleed out the brakes again. bleed them before I did the brake job about 2 months ago. could I be missing something??? :frown: VF500F

    Hm not sure but a lot of times on cages especially older ones, some rust forms on the caliper piston in the extended portion. Then when you push it back into the bore to make room for the new pads/rotor, it starts to hang up and make the brakes stick. Also sometimes this happens if the sliders/guide pin/lock pin grease have cooked (but not sure how this applies to vfr).

    thanks I'll check it out later. cleaned all the guilds and sliders before I add alittle break lube to them.
