I am realizing that my rear brake is weak, I think. Can anyone skid using the rear brake only? I cannot. I suspect either bad pads or pad contamination. Anyone have a good replacement suggestion?:yield:

Any chainlube on the rotor? Give it a good cleaning with a little laquer thinner. It should be able to lock the rear wheel.

If you have linked brakes, it'll feel like that. When you hit the 'rear' brake, only one caliper piston is activated, one on the front. Same goes for the front brake, two activated, one on the rear.

It's designed to not lock up as easily.

EDIT: And I see you have a 98, so yes...linked.
