raising stock bars ?

    hello,ive had my 6th gen vfr 800 for a couple months now,and want to lift up my bars.there is a circlip at the top of the forks,can i remove it to raise the bars all the way up to the top of the fork tubes ? thanks

    I wouldn't see any reason why not. Just make sure the bolts are tightened back down to spec...15 lb-ft, I believe. On the heli bar risers, you can move them up and down the forks...the circlips just hold them on in case of terrible failure if I am not mistaken...You may want to keep them on there...they're pretty small anyways...

    Yes, the clips are there in case your bars wanna come off.
