sup folks... i recently sold my 86 vfr cause of money issues to a guy that works with me. he(being a brand n00b to bikes) has against my advice of practice in parking lots till he gets comfortable on a bike, gotten out in traffic and messed up a couple of times now(hes okay only minor damage to bike). but my question is.... does anyone know where i can find him a raidiator at. it took the brunt of the damage to the bike, and is startin to look like a crushed drink can. the local honda shop here(assholes!) quoted 645.63$ for a new one. HA!

... on a side note... i only added the story part of this thread because he wants me to look for the parts.... claims he dosnt know where to look.

    thx in advance

a dented radiator may work OK, and small pinholes can be sucessfully fixed with..................................................................J.B. Weld.....

ALSO, take it to the best auto radiator shop in town and ask whether they can do anything to fix it.

    radiator

Hi I have an extra 1986 vfr radiator assembly: fan, brackets, switch, radiator, cap, grill, hoses, etc. It's got some pinhole leaks though. I took it to a shop but the guy told me it would be hard to fix. I have a dented but non leaking one on my bike now that works fine. Let me know if you want the leaky radiator assembly. How about $50 and I pay shipping?

Don't give up on a pinholed rad until you've tried JBWeld on holes......the kind that's in 2tubes, not the tootsie roll thingie type.....

I understand that Griffin Radiators in Griffin, GA can build any radiator you want. I have them build radiators for dragsters in every size you can think of to fit in these cars. They look like a work of art when I get them. You can send them the old one and they can build a new one just like it used to be.
