Im reabuilding my front end due to a leaking seal & figured while I was in there I would swap the front springs as well.

well.......... I got all the parts & between the instructions here on VFRW & the manual & what comes with the springs Im a little overwhelmed.

Im about ready to put the thing back together again & need to cut the spacer for the springs & IMO the instructions that race tech provides sucks. Maybe Im just a simple kinda guy, but if the springs + spacer = some amount. why cant I take the "some amount" subtract the new spring length & cut the spacer that amount????

the preload on the spring is adjustable, so its not like Im not gonna change the length of the spacer with the preload adjuster.

am I oversimplifying this or ?????

    thanks
    Bob

Another thing I just noticed is that one spring is noticably shorter than the other. how much is acceptable??

there is just over 4mm difference.

    thanks again

I'd actually call Race Tech's 'tech' line and ask them your Q's.

They'll be very helpful but you may have to leave a message to call you back too.
