For those of you that have the 6th gen 'Tunes, do they include a heat shield for the down pipe that's near the pillion's right leg? The stock exhaust has one here, but I've never seen a pic of that part of the Staintunes. If anyone has such a pic, I'd appreciate a posting. Another rider reported melting his boot heel there, so I'm curious if anyone else has this problem... Cheers, Tom
I was worried about that also when I first installed mine. I've had no problems. I recall reading something in the installation paperwork that the Staintune set-up runs cooler than stock, perhaps that's why they don't include one.
My question is. Does exhaust system will need a new ECU or you can just re map your ECU to the system.
