Question for experienced mechanics

Can the HONDA VF1000F and VF1000R ignition boxes be swaped?

I have a VF1000F wiring harness and a VF 1000R engine and do not know if that will cause any problems.
The engine runs but does not rev up right.
The advance starts at 1,300rpm's on the F - and 1,800rpm's on the R=500rpm difference.

The VF1000F fires at 10º BTDC full advance at 37º
The VF1000R fires at 10º BTDC full advance at 37º

Any thoughts????

I am thinking about wiring in the black box from the R into the F wiring harness.
But I need the VF1000R book and wiring diagram FIRST.
The ones online are UNREADABLE.
