I guess though if the CDN $ is at par with the USD than I will have to go south to buy mine.

I wouldn't bet on that. After all, Honda built the DN-01...

I hope Honda Canada has their pencil sharp on this one. If they price it at 15995 in the states and it's 18995 here I am heading down to Montana. If it's within a thousand, even 15 hundred bucks I'll buy local. Duty, shipping and brokerage will cost almost that much.

Then again if Honda Canada will offer a low introductory APR like 3.99 or something to match BMW's current deal, then the equation changes a bit.

I was told to expect about 18000 in Canada. I think it'll come in at $16599 in the States.

My dealer said to expect the price to be near that of the Hyabusa or ZX14
so $13,200 USD. Probably add $900 for saddlebags (no mount$ needed), and centerstand $200 and heated grips $200 and you are a bit nearer to, the prices of the C14 and FJR with those same accessories as standard.
    I'll take one VFR1200 please!

I'm guessing $5,000 more than what I think is reasonable.

$13,499 for the base model and 14,999 (USD) for the trick tranny version (minus hard bags). What do we win if we're right???

I would also have to say the 13k - 15k range. Too much, and they won't sell. If they want the BMW business back, then they will have to price it cheaper than BMW. Otherwise, why not get a beammer?

I think 15,799 will be my guess. that will make it a couple hundred more than the Concours ABS.

I will say...no more than 18 for the tricked out model, 15 for the base. I agree with the BMW comments. I was hoping for at least a liter in the new bike or I was heading for the K13S next year. Daddy likey!!

According to a recent thread on this board 15,999 will be the MSRP when the 2010 model hits the floor early next year. I won I won I won I won...what do I win?

$15,999 is the base model price on the Honda site. Roll over the "Sport" models on the top bar, the VF1200 picture is there with the price. So $13K might be decent street price to hope for... hmmm.

Southern Honda had 2006 ABS VFR's for $6683 on Black Friday.

    Or a used 5th gen for $4k

I guess the next question is how much the fancy tranny will add?
