Ok since I am still learning the in's and out's of this bike, I am going to be leaning hard on the experiences you guys have had with them. First thing I noticed is the electrical. When I have the turn signal indicator on, I get a slight, but noticeable, dip in the lights on the dash and body lights. Now I know my Goldwing does that and is normal. Is this ok for this particular bike or is that dreaded "stator" issue about to hit me? I cannot afford another bike going down.

As for the clutch, when I have the clutch handle fully pulled, and tach up some, she starts to creep with an attitude. I am sure the clutch probably needs to be adjusted and/or replaced. That wheel on the handle needs to turn which way to fix this? I seem to have turned retarded this week and cannot recall which way that should go.

BTW Got the lights on her. Not as bright as I wanted, but with what I had to budget with, they look good.

I wouldn't get yourself too worked up over electrical failures until such time as you really need to. The VFR's do have a problematic charging system issue with the R/R but there are a number of fixes for the problem. The mild dip in the bulbs when the turn signal is activated could simply be from a weak battery as much as anything else. That being said, there is never a bad time to check the charging system for faults. Here is a link to a thread by Rubo (another member here) that helped me out when diagnosing my VFR's charging system and it comes up quite frequently with any post regarding charging system issues. Have a look and follow the instructions in the thread on how to check the charging system. It is fairly straight forward and easy enough to follow.

The only down side to the charging system thread is that you will have to remove the bike from the house. LOL. Otherwise you risk other issues. :)

The lights look pretty cool and might look better outside as the carpet will absorb a bit of the light versus reflecting it. Sorry, I can't help with the clutch issue though, but I'm sure someone will chime in with a suggestion for you.

Clutch......How many miles on the bike? Assume they never replace. Have you flush the fluid and change the oil?
Those are the basic steps can improve the clutch engagement.

Check for a short or bad earth in the indicator setup, that could be causing the power draw. For the clutch, it could be the seal in the slave cylinder (don't know if thats the exact term) giving up, not a hard/expensive job, but a bit of a bitch to bleed afterwards.

Got a Harbor Freight near by? Just got a vacuum bleeder yesterday ($26) and did my clutch, real easy. (I wasn't having any problems, just didn't like the color of the fluid).

Google has several vids on clutch fluid flush. Try that. I flushed mine for the first time a couple months ago and it was not hard. But make sure you don't get that fluid on any painted surface. I didn't use the vacuum flush attachment. I am sure it does simplify the procedure but it is fairly easy anyways. When I said I did it for the first time, I meant that this was the first time "I" have done it. The shop has done it a few times for me.

While you're working at that, you have the chance to make sure the diaphragm in the reservoir is good like mentioned before. If these measures don't fix the clutch, I cannot help any more.

Electrical could also be a poor ground. Find and inspect your ground connections. Clean them up with a little steel wool or something similar.
